Wing Mirror compatibility between years and other vehicles

I'm aware the mirror coverings are the same between the FF, Disco and SSRR and possibly even the FL2, BUT are the mirror housings themselves the same??

If they aren't is it just the plastic triangular part that is different and could this not be separated from the unit as that part isn't broken on mine, and the electrics all seem fine, its just the cover and the housing itself that is shot Sad The mirror still heats and adjust and even folds in, though sticks folding out a bit!

Any help mucho appreciated as they aren't cheap things Sad FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
