You need to go for a drive to give the system time to register you have pumped up the spare tyre. That is assuming that the cold has not killed off the battery in the tyre sensor in your spare. Make sure you have got the tyre pumped up to the maximum recomended pressure. 56 TDV8 Vogue SE

Oh right ok, I did put the engine on without driving it before I posted this so I will be driving it tomorrow morning. How easy is it to replace the battery in the sensor and also how do the sensors tell the car it's tyre is low I don't understand it at all! |

Inflate as per fully laden on the tyre sticker on the B pillar. Otherwise it can still bong if set to regular pressure |

The battery in the sensor is not designed to be replaced. The sensor is a sealed unit with some kind of resin or glue holding all the parts in place.
