Euro Car Parts Pagid brake pads TDV8 Brembo

As the time is approaching to change my brake pads (front and rear) I was looking round and assessing my options. I can:
A - get r Censored d at the main dealers
B - pay my local indy about £220 to do the job with parts from Bearmach
C - Buy the pads from ECP for about £90 and do the job myself, or
D - Buy genuine pads and do the job myself (anticipate no real cost saving vs indy)

Replacing the pads myself is quite enticing as the task itself is not too technical and the savings compelling - however as I don't have axle stands or a trolley jack, or a breaker bar any cost savings would be wiped out by the purchase of the tools.

Does anyone have any experience of using the Pagid brake pads? Do they last well? Are they quiet?
Also has anyone used Bearmach brake parts? Are they any good?

In the past I have used manufacturers own brake pads/discs etc to avoid issues - does this hold true with Landrover as well, or have I been a fool and paid more than necessary?

Just realised that ECP have a 30% discount code for the brake pads, so the cost of the Pagid pads (front and rear) comes in at an entirely reasonable £45 (delivered) plus the cost of replacement wear sensors. I think I will replace these as well as even though the existing pads have not worn down sufficiently to trigger the warning light it is sods law that one will break as I remove them... Shocked

Pagids are the danglies in pads!

If you have brembos go for their Blue material pads or grey if you have heavy loads or tow a lot..

I've well tested these in the worst setup brake system in the world on a fiat coupe where heat was their worst enemy as they could never dissipate it so the pagid's got my vote every time after i first got some Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I have just put mintex on the back of mine which is also a TRD company like pagid. No probs so far. I had ordered the wrong pagid ones from ecp and had to rush out and buy the mintex. Double check the vin agaist the pad details when ordering......
Pagid are oem for some big manufacturers like mercedes, and they are cheeep.

I did a write up on how to do the rears, its pretty simple and took about an hour. Dont forget you will also need a brake wear sensor one on each axle, asthey cam break removing them.

Tools are an investment, not a job cost, you will always be able to use them next time...... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
