check the picture out and it is the pinky sandy colouled vehcle box body vehicle. there were mainly developed for military use and came out of service around the mid to late 80s realy good at off roading and realy realy simple to maintain wth the majority having a v8 petrol with a man gear box wich if i remember was backwards Razz 02 Range Rover HSE Zambezie silver 4.4

Ok .. just a quick hijack of the thread then back to business.

The one in the picture was mine.. you'll love this Laughing

I bought it cheap to tart up, gutted the vehicle pulling all the ambulance kit out... took it to the tip... then went to the Gaydon Motor heritage show and got waved on to the 101 Club stand. I just went with the flow and parked where the marshals pointed.

Me and the Father in Law said Hi to a few chaps then went around the Museum. Came out about an hour or so later to see three or four club members crawling under my truck.

They told me it was a odd ball 101.... then two weeks later I got a black and white picture of my 101 as it rolled out of the Coach fitters.. I had just gutted the 1st right hand drive 101 Ambulance Big Cry Laughing Rolling with laughter

Ah well!

Engine and box are Range Rover style. Axles are unique and the Chassis is specific to the vehicle as is prettymuch everything else. But as you can imagine... most items are from the Landrover parts bins at Solihull.
more details on my site Here

I sold it and got my 110 which I have just fitted new rear coils on in the last few days... It would be so much nicer with air suspension underneath it....

Do you see what I did there.. back on topic! Thumbs Up

Did that make you popular with the 101 owners club? Shocked

The rear air spring arrived and I replaced it, guess what, in the morning the car is still leaning on the rear-right side... Next to replace is the sensor I suppose?

Adara,
If the height sensor was faulty, it would tell you. I would say it is more likely that it needs calibrated. Before doing that though, have a crawl and make sure it has not been bent or got loose etc.

If you replace the sensor, you will need to get it calibrated anyway.

DC,
So if the air spring is OK, the pipe looked fine and the joints too, what is there to blame then for the overnight rear-right leaning? Do you think a calibration at the dealer would help? The sensor seemed to be in good condition.
Thank you!

I had to pay a visit to the main dealer and they found out that the rear valve block needed replacing and also that the front left sensor had to be changed. The faults were: C1A10-64 – Pressure fluctuates when system inactive, C1A03-1C Front left height sensor – circuit voltage out of range and Left SI Driver Fault. Rear valve block about 240EUR and sensor 35EUR. Old sensor isn’t bent or anything, it just rotates a little too hard and generally speaking looks very fragile. They recalibrated the suspension and now everything is ok.
