Boot lettering measurements.

There has been a few posting recently regarding Range Rover Lettering. I recently changed my lettering with cheaper non genuine lettering and as a result I did not position the boot lettering correctly. I now have some genuine lettering i would like to replace it with .Could someone to please advise the following measurements I'm sure this will help other members in the future too.

Distance from top of silver strip to bottom of lettering

Distance between lettering as in The E and R

Finally the measurements from the side of the boot lid lip on both sides to the R in Range and the R in Rover.

Many thanks for your help. I understand the bonnet lettering has a slight curve so that may be more difficult.

Boot Lettering Measurements

Hi There,

Just measured up here's the measurements on mine (2007 TDV8)

Top of Boot Strip to bottom of lettering: 29mm

From LHS to 1st R: 280mm
From LHS to end of E of Range: 645mm

Gap between end of E (range) and beginning of 1st R (rover): 90mm

From RHS to beginning of 1st R of Rover: 649mm
From RHS to end of last R of Rover: 270mm

Spacing between individual letters is tricky to measure because of the shapes - i guess they are put on using the center line of each letter and equal centers between 1st and last letter of each word.

Hope that helps
Andy

Interesting would be good to get 3rd measurements to confirm cheers Mick Thumbs Up

Looks like you might have had lettering replaced at some point Bantam given differences on both sides as Micks seem exact both sides Question Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

On mine

Left tailgate to first R 275mm

Gap between E and R 90mm

Right Tailgate to last R 280mm
(measured from the upper part of the R, a bit less if you measure from the bottom of the angled leg) .

There's a lot of good info on here regarding spacing etc but the lettering does extend past the boot strip and so i measured 43mm to the bottom of the first and last "R's" with my flexitape hooked under the bottom edge of the upper tailgate. I would suggest a straight line (drawn with a white board marker or something else that rubs off easily) between the two points will give you a decent base line.

I also noticed some bubbling of the paint on the edge of the upper tailgate when I took these measurements - Censored Geoff

For the bonnet - it's easier just to find the centre of the grill and then mark the centre of the bonnet accordingly and the lettering is 45mm each side of that line - 90mm apart as stated elsewhere. Geoff
