It was a pig of a job to do, mainly because of having to get the centre console out. A tip if anyone ever has to do it- just take the screws out and lift the rear of the console up and slide a broom stale across the seats to hold it up out of the way. The ecu is under the heater blower which is fixed to a metal frame. That frame then needs to be unbolted to access the ecu. No need to take the front clock panel out as RAVE suggests |

had this on a 2002 i bought, RSW lead would show but not clear fault. bought a secondhand battery disconnect cable as that was the offending text fault along with 'internal error'. still on!

Annoyingly, when I returned to retest the car, the tester informed me that a loophole had been discovered in the new legislation.
