How about the fuel lines and seals as i thought that was of concern as well for strong Ethanol mixes? FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Any vaguely modern car should be OK regarding seals etc., certainly any post 2000 car. Conventional wisdom dictates that the fuel filter should be changed after about 1000 miles of running on Ethanol as it can free up deposits that have accumulated in the tank and fuel lines which then clog the filter. My car is on a bit under 70K miles so probably a good idea to change it anyway - not found out the price yet though!!

I'd possibly suggest a cheap inline clear filter before the main fuel filter so you can see whats coming out. Plus with 2 clamps they are easier to change and its much better to see whats happening without taking things to bits |
