Holiday in the New Forest

Cant wait for the 6th of july where Rodney will be put to the test of a two week break in Brockenhurst in the New Forest Thumbs Up

Car sorted Thumbs Up

Dog cage fitted Thumbs Up

If I still have a wife in two weeks = sorted Thumbs Up

Dont know why but venture cam works perfectly in the front of the car but have now mounted it in the new cage and for some reason starts by working for a couple of seconds then comes up with an error on screen = no signal or needs charging or something like that , really need this sorted because we cant see the hounds from the front of the car , hopefully something silly I am getting wrong Crying or Very sad

Roll on two weeks Thumbs Up

Hi mate

Make sure your phone isn't connected via Bluetooth.

You can't have the phone and cam on at the same time.

Venture Cam automatically dis-connects a Bluetooth phone. (Gives that connection a higher priority)
Sounds like it may be a battery issue with the Cam itself.
There's a Wiki on how to replace the battery pack inside the cam, I have done 3 of these now including my own.
Have a look at Wiki and if you need any more help just ask. Thumbs Up
Had it, loved it!

Thanks Matt

Is probably the 6th or 7th year we have been down there ... first couple of times was in Ashhurt but fell out with the owner, crazy really because she classed it as dog friendly but on the second year they had put all new flowers in the garden and Zak doesn't like flowers , so he rolled in them resulting in the owner deducting part of our security deposit which I thought was totally unfair but in truth she did us a favour as the Boss went on the hunt for somewhere else and came across the mauhousive house in Bronkenhurst and we have stayed there I think its five years running.

You really couldn't ask for nicer people , totally dog friendly , has a small garden but as we spent most of our time out and about .......... well the normal routine would be the Boss walking down to the bakery for some amazing hot sausage rolls and a loaf of what can only be described as the nicest uncut bread we have ever come across. We sit and have breakfast then load the dogs in the car and head off and normally don't even have a plan where we are going , just point the car in a direction and end up where ever we end up.

We do spend a lot of time in Christchuch, in fact probably more time there than anywhere else ..... we both like lymington lynhurst altho as you probably know is a traffic bottle neck but its great just going on a new journey each day and I dont know if you have ever eaton at the Balmer Lawn but the food there is excellent and not that badly priced and of course it is also dog friendly Thumbs Up

Wherever we go the hounds come with us , can be a bit of a bind sometimes because wherever we eat it has to be outside.

But the house we stay at is massive and the only way I can describe it ....... Its a slice of life I would like to have but bar a miracle its never going to happen but hey we get two weeks of that which is really nice . don't I go on Laughing

We live a stones throw from the New Forest and enjoy days out with kids, bikes, dogs, pubs etc, but never stayed over. We normally head towards Devon and Cornwall three times a year and rent a cottage, however, I would interested to know where you stay in the Forest, as it's an option I've never really considered.

Suposed to be dog friendly .... this would mean the garden wouldn't have flowers in it .... but hey they decided to put flowers in .... not my fault my dog hates flowers Rolling with laughter
