TV tuner lost its channels!

I am stuck on this one! I have a TV tuner that can't pick up any channels, both antenna plugs are installed and the fan is going round in the tuner box so there power, another problem is that you can't can't change country or format options, I don't know...might be related! I bought the tuner in oct and its hasn't worked since before crimbo! Any ideas would be appreciated as I can't get hold of the guy that sold me it!

http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/when_do_i_switch
says: “There are 3 transmitter groups in Northern Ireland that will switch from analogue to digital TV from 10 October 2012. When you switch depends on which transmitter group you are watching. More detailed information about these transmitter groups will be available soon.” Predictably, the site hasn’t been updated….there is a postcode checker on that site, it may be worth putting in your details and see what it says.
If you have an analogue TV receiver and are in the area affected, it won’t work without an add-on decoder.

Edited: posted before I saw your response above. Norman

have you checked the connections?

it does sound like a faulty tuner...it might be worth putting the analogue one in [if you still have it] and test the system... ... - .- -.

Sounds about right. These £400 -£500 tuners are failing more and more. That's why its better to a digital conversion done on the analogue tuner.

I take it this has happened to more than one, can it be fixed? I sent you an unrelated pm Blaris.

It's very confusing on this forum, as both generations of range rovers are in the same sections. I'm assuming the MOST system your referring to is the entertainment system in the touch screen system? Which I don't know much about tbh.

I have about 3 hybrid tuners, with 3 different faults.

Yes, it's a touchscreen version, any luck on the Bluetooth issue mentioned in my pm or is that not your department?

Are there any forum members that offer a fixing service? It won't find any channels and it won't let me change country or format options, have checked all connections and ariels and all is well in that department. I only got to watch tv once since I bought it which is annoying. Sad
