If you have the lock symbol on the screen then the locking diff is fitted. It is normally showing an open symbol which changes to a closed lock when the diff lock engages. It is automatic and operates when needed. |

on the 3.6 the locking rear diff is shown, but it does not really indicate it is fitted, Mine hasnt got one (i know cos i looked) the locking function is carried out in some form by the traction control. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

It was and still is an option i think for most models.

Here the pictures where you see the rear diff as lockable on the navi screen and not on the speedo screen.

maybe the large tv screen shows the status of both all the time and the smaller dash screen only shows the rear diff status when its active.. ... - .- -.

My speedo screen shows both the central and rear diffs and both go in and out of lock in bad conditions.

If it's the same as the D3/4 (and I would assume it is), then the presence of the unlocked padlock symbol on the rear diff is NOT indicative that you have a locking rear diff fitted.
