Hi All, hope you can help, got my S/C back from the paint shop now and rebuilding the doors etc that I stripped for the painters. All going well, but having rebuilt all doors, found that the locking mechs on both front doors are not operating. Not from the key, or the dash switch, or remote. The back pair are fine. Also, the one shot function has stopped on all but the down operation of the drivers door. The locks are not putting the interior lights on either, when you open the door. Everything worked fine before.... Any ideas? I have tried a battery disconnect/ reset. Tried cleaning/ remaking the big plug connection on each door pillar, the door lock actuator connector, they seem fine. The IID tool is not showing any faults on the Body Control module.

Got the drivers door working tonight, cleaned all the connectors with contact spray and the drivers lock is working. Will try the same on the passenger door tomorrow, fingers crossed. The electric windows are still playing up, can any body tell me if the one - shot function is operated by the door module or is controlled by the body module? I guess it's in the body module as there are no door modules on the rear doors.... I have lost some faith with the iid tool, it doesn't show any faults on any of the units. Thanks for all replies, Les |

Is there a reset procedure for one touch windows once the battery has been disconnected? Certainly is on my other cars. Like holding the button down for a period if time after the window is fully down. Can't remember for the FF.

For future reference, this turned out to be a loose pin in the white connector going to the door outstation on the passenger side. Took me about four blinking hours to find it, had it in and out a few times, it looked perfect but was not staying in the holder when I pushed it home. To make it worse, it wAsnt throwing any immediate signs of being loose, eg flickering interior lights etc, and nothing coming up on the iid tool. I find that strange, as I would have thought it should have thrown a dtc for lack of door outstation or lost connection to lock , but nothing.

One other thing I forgot to mention, the one shot function can be turned off per window in the CCF, I think that's what Axle refers to. Useful to know for anybody looking at this post in time to come, trying to sussed out why theirs might not be working. |
