I did have a thought on the badge, could you not just spray it all black and then wipe top surface with thinners to get the black off before it dries then finishing with a coat of lacquer to seal it all up. Geoff

@Geoff, my letters are raised so a took the top chrome coating off and used a very fine brush ..

@Gary, i did get one of those [£10.90 btw] but they are a quarter size of the OE ones so mines going back today.. ... - .- -.
