| Nappler Member Since: 09 Jun 2010 Location: Surrey Posts: 158    | You know, I can't argue I love a big powerful V8, my last car had probably one of the finest engines of the last decade and I do miss it, I can understand why people love a smooth powerful V8 in the RR but personally it isn't for me, lets be honest, the fuel economy is terrible and in overall terms it's not that quick and I don't think that sort of power is really needed in an RR which suits a more relaxed driving style, don't get me wrong, it's a great engine and to each their own but I would rather enjoy it in an F Type than have it somewhat wasted in a 3 tonne 4x4.

However I have to confess I have been eyeing the 5.0 SC and currently waiting for the post 2010/2012 make price to drop to a level I am quite comfortable paying in order to swap the current 4.2. 2006 4.2 Supercharged Java Black - loving it every moment behind the wheel even at 14 mpg! | ||

 The suspension and ride quality of the 4.2SC will feel much like your car (only ever so slightly stiffer) but much quicker The post 09 cars have a far more refined suspension and ride quality, so the 5.0SC will feel worlds better than the 4.2SC and then there is the difference in power on top   | ||
