2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey
TDV8 Cam(belt) or (chain)

Ok, so I thought this engine was camchain, but over on the hairdressing forum (rrs) one chap has suggested it's belted....have I got my wires crossed. He's telling someone to get the cambelt changed at 100k...didn't think there was a belt there to change !!
Question Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

The TDV6 engine was belt driven that was fitted to the sports & discovery, the TDV8 is indeed a chain:D Worse things happen at sea! Well thats what swmbo said when WRENS came to sea!!!

An aux belt is a belt, that drives the P/S pump, alternator etc.

The engine is driven by a chain Thumbs Up

When does the chain need changing? Is it 100k? Anyone recommend getting this done a bit early?

I suspect that unless there is something else wrong they should last a lot longer than 100k.... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
