Side Step Bolt Size

Hi all I'm a newbie on here so bear with me please and be gentle. Have just purchased a 2004 TD6 RR one owner with full RR service history and only 67000 mls. My question is regarding fitting chrome side bars which are OME but have no fixing bolts. So can anyone tell me what size bolts i need and the thread pitch.

M8 and m6 I believe. I know this as I'm about to fit mine Thumbs Up Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Easiest thing to do is to buy a fitting kit from your main agent for around £20-£30 if memory serves me correctly... There should be 8 x 10mm bolts 4 x 13mm bolts all with washers and some spacers too Thumbs Up

Have been in touch with dealer and they have quoted £54.25+vat

you can get them in B and Q for about 9 pounds. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

You might be better off with a selection of M8 and M6 bolts and washers from a nut-and-bolt supplier, maybe talk to them and see if they'd take back what you don't use?

13mm bolts ?? Mr. Green

I think Craig means spanner size 10mm AF -> M6, 13mm AF -> M8.

Spanner size isn't specific to the bolt size.

You never tell someone what size bolt they need or order bolts by giving the size of spanner used to undo it.
