No sound mute stuck on stereo

Hi guys, got an issue I would love some help with .i have a non touch screen l322 2003 tv installed.i had an upgrade of a digital free view box and a DVD player.i seemed to have lost the sound when I go on to tv mode.i can't seem to get rid of mute on the av input screen in the middle.i presume this needs removing so I can get some sound on my tv and DVD .
Any help would be greatly appreciated.regards in advance
Tony

Hi guys, considering my situation with no sound on the aux mode (when I enter tv mode it displays mute) on my non touch screen 2003 ff,I decided that I'm gonna go for a disconnect.my question is how long do I have to leave the battery disconnected for the car to reset to default modes?regards in advance tony
