Poll - Tango or De Tango?

Been going through the process of upgrading the external light bulbs on the SC to LED (relevant linked thread below).

The question for this post is, as the title suggests, do I leave the original vertical orange headlight reflector strips as they are (first “Tango” image) or do I “De-Tango” them, either by sticking a silver reflective strip over the orange or by having them vinyl wrapped ( as per the second “De Tango” image).

Votes/ thoughts welcome please/ thanks. Thumbs Up

Tango:

De Tango (image possible thanks to previous post of jfb1977/ hope he doesn't mind the comparison Thumbs Up ):

Already changed main indicator bulbs to LED and the orange cast in that main housing does indeed disappear.

Thanks Thumbs Up

I would vote to leave the side strip orange. While I prefer the silver look, unless you get rid of the red stripe in the rear lights it will look a bit strange side on.

Have to agree with the masses. Leave as-is. Si. <This is my name.

Not the biggest poll but quality triumphs over quantity every time Wink

Having asked for advice, I will respect that given by all 4 of you, which is to leave the reflectors as they were when leaving the factory.

The description of 'anaemic' might be fair point too when the car is silver.

Thanks Thumbs Up

The logical step, Ryan, is that if you do the front orange strip, then you'll have to do the rear red strip as well or the looks won't be right.

The old adage that one modification invariably incites another rings true in this case. I don't recall you asking about the rear, or whether you've considered it, but I still think leaving things as they are is the 'right' decision.

Anyway, glad you've thought it through thoroughly as you always do. Thumbs Up Si. <This is my name.

Season's greetings Si,

I actually thought about doing the orange strip the same as the rear red, for about 10 seconds Laughing

I do like the look of the change that jfb1977 made but probably because his black car was more apt for that colour change.

I'll leave it all 'stock'

Thumbs Up
