This item seem to stir up some feelings of guilt, pride, hate etc. there is no difference in reactions if you drive something else other people don't have. Driving my 1934 Talbot gives the same respons, some thumbs up, some total neglect and some hate/jealousy, and honestly I couldn't care less. These are my cars, they are all paid for, it's my fun and if you don't like it it's your problem. I always try to be a gentleman in traffic, noblesse oblige and I smile friendly at middlefingers, fists and other brainless gestures. If you can not deal with these people you might as well pray for a bigger financial crisis, so the Sheep can't drive their tin cans anymore and we finally have the roads to our self's. We are all Gods creatures and if he wanted the Sheep to drive, he would have given them wheels Mr. Green
With this peaceful thought I wish you a comfortable sunday afternoon Whistle

don't seem to have any trouble in Ireland, but in the UK there does seem to be a slight anger towards them. Maybe they are just cold outside !

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Java Black

only problem i come across in south west london is when i park in super market car parks, i will go out of my way and park away from where all the rest of the cars are and i guarantee you by the time i get back to put my shopping in the boot, there is always someone in either another range rover or a x5 parked next to me,then one day i asked a guy why out of all the space he decided to park his evoque next to my range rover his answer was somewhat smart,he said " judging by the gleaming body work and the cleanliness of your range rover it indicates that you take pride and care for your vehicle and by parking next to you i know i won't come back and find a big ding from you opening your door into my car,and straight away i thought, that is so true Idea ......i suppose its like you won't go eat in the filthiest place in town ,the image of the place indicates to you as a customer what the place is all about...merry christmas everyone....

I think perhaps due to the few times we both use the car it feels a bit more like we are having grief, we have made a point of using it more over the christmas break and so far so good. Hopefully its all in our imagination, will have to stop reading the range rover posts on the mercedes forum!!! I can relate to the car park situation, wherever we park someone will always park next to us even if we are at the other end away from all the other cars they do it even when there is a row of spaces next to the car.

Don't seem to have any issues with the RR, but my wife has endless encounters in the M5. She says that it's always men around 30 -40 years old driving up he rear bumper normally after shes just passed them on the dual carriage way. Usually she informs me she pulls over, but sometimes its Rolling with laughter to the other car when she's off into the distance.

I drive a VW Transporter for work as well as my wife's VW Eos occasionally and to be honest I get a mixture of reactions from other road users regardless of what I'm in at the time. I tend to give way when approaching a reduced gap to let the oncoming vehicle through, I have noticed I get less thanks with the van & the FFRR, I just put it down to mindless ignorance and don't let it bother me. I also find that often good manners will encourage others to do the same, for instance if I let someone out of a turning they'll often do the same a bit further up the road Thumbs Up

If you want to feel real hatred you should try driving a London Bus - I did this many years ago for a couple of years and I couldn't believe how I'd suddenly become every other road users worst enemy, I was only young and tried to drive in a professional and courteous manner, indicating to pull away from bus stops and waiting until someone flashed to let me out - unfortunately I'd still be waiting to pull out 40 years later if some drivers had their way Rolling with laughter I would actually see drivers accelerate from a distance to stop me pulling out!!

Most times I just try to smile at others ignorance Mr. Green

:Try driving a VOLVO as I have done for many years and you'll soon have something to moan about.

Better still become a WHITE VAN MAN , and then you'll have the world and its oyster having a go at you.

Do what I do, and that is turn up the radio, and smile inwardly knowing it could all probably l be enviousness. Thumbs Up

Merry Christmas one and all.

Do you have it "pimped" by any chance? 22" wheels maybe? I have been driving my stock TD6 HSE for 10 years now without any issue

None taken, but I think you've quoted the wrong comment? I said I've NEVER experienced this. I have 20" SC wheels on mine, but are you implying that having 22" wheels makes it easier to get let out at junctions?

Forgive me for being just a teeny wee bit confused! Laughing Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
