Are they like the early ones where you rotate the dial until it clicks? |

As far as I can tell they don't click, unless it is very subtle. If the forum/my laptop/iPhone or iPad would let me up load a photo I would add a picture. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

This is a better shot of the rear controls I have. The left side dial has a very slight click just over 3/4 of the way to the lowest setting (dot).

I found that the rear vents were very very slow to respond to temp settings made on the dials, and pretty poor at heating up in general. I think the long run of ducting from the heater matrix in the front dash means that as the air flows along it, the air cools or heats up to the ambient temp of the centre console by the time it goes out the vents. I.e. you need to heat or cool the ducting before you get hot or cold from the vent.

Still getting hot air only from the rear vents even when turned off and set to cold. I have tried with the front controls set to cold with AC on and in auto. The rear vents only blow cold if turned up to the max fan.

You need to plug your car into a diagnostic unit which would help you find all the logged faults and allow you to clear them.

I have cleared all the faults using my IID, only ones that came back were communication errors which I was told can be mostly ignored. Any ideas what I should be looking for fault wise for the rear heating? There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

Your rear fan doesn't appear to respond to all the settings on the speed controller.

The blower unit seems to work, i.e. if I turn it up the blower gets faster and when I turn it down it reduces although it does not totally turn off and a small amount of warm airs flows out. The air gets cool if I turn the blower right up.
