Aux Heater Pump - Where to buy?

Hi All,

I've been a guest viewer of the forum for a while but now I'm in need of some help so I'm hoping someone can be of assistance... I need to identify a faulty component on my L322 TD6 (2004). It is mounted to the chassis using a rubber mount - it's on the offside rear, underneath the car, above the drive shaft.

It looks like a valve of some kind - it has a power or sensor line connected to it and appears to have at least and in and out hose connected - on a quick initial inspection I couldn't say for sure if there were 2 lines or 3. The immediate connections are rubber hoses but it looks like these connect to metal piping after a short run. It did have some kind of metal ball in it - suggesting a ball vale of some kind - but the plastic has sheared and this has fallen out. I've tried to take a pic but it is rather hidden!

I am guessing it is either related to the fuel system or the air suspension?

Any help would be much appreciated, looks simple enough to swap once I know what it is!

Thanks,

Chris

Just pulled it off - you're right, small pump for the pre/aux heater. It's labeled as part:

Thomas Magnete 89372A

Google doesn't list many for sale... any tips on who might have one they can ship to France? Rather avoid ordering through a French dealer, that could be quite eye watering!

Cheers,

Chris

There's loads on eBay!

Not sure if Duckworths would send to Europe. Send Dan a message.

Just bought one from eBay in France from a German supplier... fingers crossed, should be ok!

Question is, can I drive the car without it if needed? It doesn't seem to be leaking with it removed... but I guess that could change once running.

Thanks for the help so far! I had initially feared it was a leaky diff so it's quite pleasing to find the cause of the leak to be much more straightforward - phew!

just plug the rubber pipes with a 6mm bolt to keep the muck out and stop it leaking, might be best to pull fuse 59 to stop the FBH firing up and locking out
