The Europeans get to drive a lot faster. That helps. |

Thanks RR2008HSE. Might be doing my residency training up your way (Stateside in Washington) next year. Or I may be in New York. Either way looking forward to snow and mountains again. |

In short, no. Rules are, if the vehicle wasn't manufactured to Canadian or US specs originally, it must be 15+ years old for licensing in Canada and 25+ years for the US. (Canadian & US specs are very similar, so importing a car from one country to the other is usually not a serious problem.)

I would love to import an EX MOD 110, but I am not brave enough to buy one without being able to inspect it. It seems like the prices on these can be pretty low, and I like the idea of a bare bones vehicle for hunting and off tarmac adventures.

EX MOD? One careful owner! What could go wrong? |

I'm sure the drivers take the utmost care when driving them. It is not like they like they are driven off of amphibious craft into the sea.
