United States 2006 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Buckingham Blue
Auto Lock/Unlock Feature Based on Transmission Position

Hello Gap Team,

Hello Gap Team,

I know this has been discussed before, but not with this modification. If it has, I haven't located it searching here. If I missed it, I apologize.
Using the IIDTOOL, can the auto lock/unlock feature be modified based on the position of the transmission selector? In other words, can the unlock feature be activated when moved to the 'P' position and locked when moved to the 'D' position? This feature/option is included with some aftermarket alarm systems.

Thanks

No, it wasn't a land rover option. Therefore it won't be on the IID tool, this would require rewriting the software. Same answer for folding the mirrors in when locking the doors. Ian

what the IIDtool can and cannot do can be found on the GAP site using the drop down menu,

Hi Stan,

I was just wondering if the IIDTool could be modified with a firmware upgrade or something in the future.

Thanks Thumbs Up

as Ian has said if the option is not there in the first place then it cant be enabled....i very much doubt if each individual ecu can have its firmware re-written and then be able to talk to the other ecus in its daisy chain..
