Dead battery this am

I installed a new battery 2 months ago. This am went to start and ABS Fault light came on as well as the Green lo mtn light on the dash , then it would not recognize the remote key fob and then everything dead, no lights anywhere. noticed the rear passenger door was not closed all the way. Would this cause the battery to drain? Thx!

Thanks Stan, That is exactly what happened. Jump started it and is fine now. I have made a mental note to make sure all doors are completely closed when I shut it down. Mike

Mike, the indicators only flash with the alarm set when all the doors are closed sir... Always look for the flash and you know all doors are closed Thumbs Up

You can check this theory by leaving one ajar and pressing the lock button, should lock but without alarm flash Thumbs Up

Another example of the D3 electronics being a better design, as they sound the horn upon locking if a door is not closed fully Rolling Eyes

one reason why i've activated the lock/unlock chirp on mine with the iidtool, saves me looking at the indicators and i know its locked properly..

IIRC you can enable the horn/sounder bits in the CCF on the 2005=> models Smile

If a front door was ajar however you would hear it lock and then a split second later unlock as the lock mechanism bounces itself. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
