The purple covering of the fibre cable by the radio is just that a covering?

I'm hoping.

That problem resolved. But it seems my iPod kit does not work...

Hello David.

May be worth making sure the battery is fully charged, then follow the battery disconnection and reconnection procedure.

At least that will reset everything. If that doesn't work, you may have knocked / loosened something on yor new ACM install when playing with the optical cable?
