TMC Aerial Position

Hi, am still trying to sort out my non working TMC on my 2007 SC RR. I have today re-flashed the TMC ECU to see if that would make any difference but it didn't. I'm thinking that the aerial maybe at fault but where is it? I've got the rear entertainment so the rear side windows are for the TV module as far as I now so that leaves the rear window. Is it there?

Cheers Chris

ps. how do I get my vehicle details at the bottom of the posting without cutting and pasting etc? Exclamation

The TMC antenna is actually in the rear windscreen. The amplifier is under the top interior trim panel on the passenger side of the wiper motor. What symptoms do you have with the TMC fault? Mine will not tune and stuck on 99.4mhz.

My IIDTool is showing an over voltage of the antenna, this probably mean a new rear screen for me... 06MY 4.4 V8 Autobiography Cairns Blue with Navy & Parchment Interior

My problem is the lack of signal means the tmc is always disabled. tmc worked fine in the td6 I had before this one.

I think the antenna amplifier is on the right hand side (drivers side) of the wiper motor. I have tried replacing this but that didn't cure it. There is one coax wire and a single blue wire coming out of the amplifier on mine. The coax disappears into one of the black cable ducts. I don't know where it goes from there. There seems to be a bit of confusion where the tmc antenna is. There only appears to be two wires to the element in the back screen. I'm assuming this is the feed and return for the heater element. I've used my faultmate system on it and that shows a really low signal from the tmc unit. There are a couple of errors reported from the tmc ecu. One being the antenna and one regarding the rear slide relay on the drivers seat??? I don't get that at all although it may be me not using the faultmate properly Wink

Cheers Chris
