Whilst fitting new rear calipers, discs and pads today the mechanic who fitted the fronts a few months ago, checked this out and said that the fronts were quite dusty and he blew air through them but could find nothing untoward... And I drive off, only for the intermittent squeak to return. Arghhh! |

Bit more copper grease needed, probably...... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Think you're maybe right there NMJ. He used his own grease when fitting the fronts. Next step is to have the front pads regreased!

The squealing is normally the pads resonating in the caliper. There is a bit of play obviously in the fitment of the pads to allow them to move, but basically they need well greasing, little dab on the pins too and this should cure the squeal.

Well, yesterday and today, I removed the front wheels and simply cleaned visible parts such as the calipers, the smart dark grey Brembo hub face and the disc faces/ disc rim edges.
