Wow and wow

Well, I had the long drive back from down South after collecting our 2012 4.4TDV8 Westminster. All I can say is what a superb drive. Different and so much more relaxing than our 2010 RRS TDV8. This car simply wafts along, without any drama at all. Fuel consumption was also noticeably better too.

Just need to give it my type of clean, the dealer was good, but not as good as me!

One question tho. The car has the Westfalia Towbar system fitted but the actual removable Towbar is missing. The dealer is trying to locate it/one from the previous owner etc etc.

As a back up, where is the best place to get one..............does anyone have one that they need to sell etc.

The tyres are Continentals and a couple are just starting to show the dreaded shoulder wear so may invest in some new ones before the winter.

Loving the car and will get some pics up ASAP Thumbs Up

Regarding the tow bar , stupid question i suppose but the dealer and yourself have checked the cubby hole in the boot on the right hand side .... ====================================

"Open Mike Night " sounded like a lot of fun until i found out i was going to an Autopsy

I've got two farmer's hitches and could probably part with one Wink if you're interested in one of those - won't fit in the cubby hole though I don't think which is a bit of a pain. Do have the bag it comes in though.

Cheers.

Would a genuine land rover quick release tow bar fit into the Westfalia socket?

Westfalia is the OEM for Land Rover tow-bars (i.e. they make them for Land Rover) so Westfalia items and Genuine Land Rover tow-bars are the same (except for a larger price tag on the Land Rover items usually Laughing).

The quick release / swan-neck is has two bits, one which goes into the 2" receiver on the Westfalia socket and provides another "connector" which the swan neck bit clips into. The farmer's hitch just goes straight into the socket with a pin and R-clip so is just as easy to remove (and, unless you remove the other bit of the swan neck, better ground clearance normally - always important for these people who never venture off-road in their Range Rovers!).[/quote]
