Drivers side electric window switch panel replacement

A common problem with the electric window panel is that they begin to peal and can look a little unsightly.

I know you can buy replacement covers from powerful UK but I didn`t really want to spend c£100 fixing a problem that is really very minor in the overall scheme of things. However I saw a new genuine landrover panel on ebay with a 99p reserve so I placed an initial bid and then forgot about the auction. Surprisingly no one else bid so got it for under £10 delviered. RRP £30 but I think these were replaced free under warranty.

Anyway it arrived on friday and in between refurbishing my drivers seat today I fitted this.

Was easy enough except the spring clips on the original were bloody tight and an absolute arse to remove.

For anyone else contemplating the fix I followed these instruction kindly provided on youtube by powerfulukltd

Looking much better. Just need to find a cheap replacement for the passenger side.
