AIR SUSPENSION INACTIVE!!

Hi guys!! Every four weeks since I've owned this car something has gone wrong 😡 this time it's the suspension, woke up alarm going off so I just unlocked and locked again. Went out in the morning to find it praying, face down ass up. "Air sup inactive" so done the left to right trick and hey presto it worked. Happy days......... Next day same thing!!!! I noticed the NSF was going down quicker than the front so checked for leaks and there were none so took a gamble and bought a new oem bearmach height sensor, fitted it then turned the car on................ Car went straight up levelled out!!! The moment of happiness only lasted about 3 seconds then the "air sup inactive" was back up! But this time I could not change ride height it was locked and kept flashing. So took it to local specialist who put computer on it and told me that there was "no voltage to near side height sensor"!!! And told me that investigation work had to be carried out! It's booked in for next week at £60 an hour!!! Any common faults I can check? I really need help as I've spent about £2000 in 5 months on the f****** thing! Cheers guys. Recent work was new front diff and cv boots.

Sure it wasn't, no voltage FROM the height sensor, that would just mean it needs a new sensor, if it's no voltage to, then I would think it would be a broken wire somewhere

Well worth investing in a IID tool, will save you tons in the long run... Pete

Just had a look, it says it uses the dashboard screen does it mean the sat nav or those under the clocks? If it's the clock screen then I have another job to do before I buy it!! Fixing the pixelated screen lol!!!

Right, just got under it and found a load of insulation tape wrapped around the height sensor wire near the plug, removed it and found 1 wire just hanging there and another bare with solder on it which goes into the plug looks like the hanging wire has come from the solder. I'm guessing this is not the correct way LR had originally done it. Does anyone have a wiring diagram of these plugs please.

Pixel fix ribbon is the hard one apparently... it's a nightmare getting the binnacle apart, especially getting the needles off without breaking them....

Luckily only got one line of pixels out on mine or I would have had a go already...

Can't find any "how to" that shows the full procedure just changing the ribbon which is the easy bit....

So if you do it... plenty of pics please... Pete
