You need to plug something else into the Aux in in the car & try the WD TV box on a TV in your house - basically narrow down whether the problem is with the car or the WD box |

Thanks for the reply i have plugged my iphone into the aux in the car and i get the sound thru no problem, and also the wd tv works in the house no problem. |

have a look at how many 'bands' there are on the stem of the plug..most times a mono plug wont work in a stereo socket . ... - .- -.

the plug that goes into the aux socket...compare that one with a plug that gives you sound ...

the cable in question is the composite cable with the red yellow and white plugs on one end and a 3.5mm jack plug with three bands on the end of the plug that goes into the back of the wdtv box.

Yes - sounds like the right connections - red/white are audio.

Have you got some phono joiners and another stereo phono lead to stereo 3.5mm jack you can plug into the 3.5mm socket?

hi Joe i have another set of identical leads but no phono joiners, so you think you could get video and sound plugging it into the 3.5mm socket in the car? |
