Service Intervals - Help Needed!

Hi there, I'm probably resurrecting an old topic here, but I've had my 56 plate RR for three years, during which I've done about 24k miles. I don't drive it often, and get about 30mpg, so you can probably tell I'm not thrashing it.

HOWEVER, I've been expecting it to tell me it needs a service some time soon and it never has. I've checked oil levels (fine) and colour (pretty much black, though I'm told that the oil on a diesel engine goes back to black on the drive home from an oil change).

So my question is this: I know it has a variable service indicator, but should I be worried that it's never come on, or can I relax? What's the longest interval anyone has gone between services?

Thanks for the advice!

Services should be carried out every 12 months as it states in your service book... The only reason you have a service interval meter is for when you cover high milage (i.e. do more that the 16/18k a year)

You will A, devalue your FF by not servicing it & B, will cause damage and extra wear so is counter productive... Rolling Eyes

Thanks everyone who's replied so far. The service schedule someone's kindly posted is for model year 11 onwards, so doesn't apply to my car (which is 07 model year). Also, there's no mention of annual servicing in my service book, otherwise my car wouldn't have been serviced properly since it was new, and that's unlikely as it's been maintained by a main dealer.

My main question remains: should I be worried that my service indicator is faulty, or is it possible that my careful driving just means it hasn't kicked in yet?

Thanks!

It is likely your service indicator has been disabled as per the armoured spec RR's - it should come on as a minimum every 12 months or less if you drive hard or high miles 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

I haven't ever noticed it coming up when I turn the key, and I only turn it one notch until the glow plugs light goes out so I think I'd notice if a message came up. Sounds like it might be faulty or have been disabled. Can't imagine why though!
