The pairing sequence/instrctions should be in the handbook for the webasto heater.
If you havent got the handbook, you can download the pdf version from the Webasto website. A handy tip, though, rather than trying to find and pull the fuse they talk about in the handbook, just pull the power lead from the top of the remote receiver wait and replace the lead then press the required button(s) on the fob.
It might take a couple of attempts for the pairing to work, so be patient.

Good luck, the remote fobs are brilliant once you've got them working, especially on cold, dark and wet mornings (like this morning!!)! Thumbs Up

Thanks. Is that why the light on the fob is flashing really quickly for about 2-3 secs?
Its not paired.

That's a good possibility. Try the pairing procedure, as I said it may take a few attempts but be patient, but get a new battery as well. The fobs can be temperamental with older batteries.

Ta. I'll have a look later. Can't really make out which panel or module I'm meant to be unplugging, sorry guys. Embarassed It didn't fire this morning after being set to come on at 7am. The outside temp was 4 degrees. Any pointers on that?

There may be another fuse in the glovebox fusebox, should be a 20amp fuse for auxiliary heater. Maybe worthwhile having another look in the handbook.

The handbooks seem to vary in fuse layout between different model years, but I would think there would be 20amp fuse for the FBH itself and a 5amp fuse(s) for the receiver and timer units.

I've got some photos at home of the FBH receiver and the plug to be pulled, will try and upload them tonight when I get back from work.

Ta. I looked at the handbook and it said 5A number 16 in the rear compartment, which I thought was a low ampage. So is there another fuse in the front under the passenger glove box I may need to look at?
I'm still hoping its a simple fuse, as nowt is working. Got the remote working now. Green light steady on then turns to steady slow flashing but kept flashing slowly and I counted over 20 slow flashes until I pressed off and then it showed red. So the rapid flasing amber light must mean low battery.

Have a look here mate , may help

http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic27290.html

And glovebox fuse is number 59 @ 20a

Also I read somewhere on here recently if you have attempted to start the FBH 3 times or more and not been successful the system locks out and needs to be unlocked by the dealer or someone with a diagnostics tool ?

Cheers. I looked in the handbook and couldn't find the appropriate aux heater fuse. Just looked in the handbook and it says fuse 59 is spare. I'll go and look on the car tho as they are not always correctly written these handbooks Thumbs Up
I took out the rear fuse and I thought hhhhmmmm looks a nice gap to lose one down......... And off it went down the gap. I replaced it with another and then pressed off on the remote but it didn't do owt. I'll read the above link too after checking the fuse in the car. Thanks Thumbs Up

Hhmmmm I've checked the fuse 59 and there is no fuse in there Shocked now on the board that covers it it also doesn't have a symbol to show what goes in there. Is it possible I ain't got a FBH on my range rover Shocked
I thought all diesels had them and that's one of the things that swayed me towards the diesel than a supercharged. Evil or Very Mad

I'm confused now.

Looks like I've paired the remote as I pressed on and the fans came on inside the car. 8 degrees outside. Just wondering about this missing fuse 59. Confused

Chances are the heater is locked out, it has its own w bus control.

An iid tool or alike can reset. It can be anything from trying to start 3 times with the fuel light on to a dodgy glow plug, faulty pump etc.

Mine doesn't wok at the mo, when i get the iid all will be clear.

My disco 3 had the same issue, locked out due to failed starts. One test purge with the iid and all was well.

Steve
