Guys Im after a bit of clarification on the old FF..
Few days ago after a longish drive, 50/60 miles, (no issues at all on the journey) when I parked up on the drive, next morning the 'trans fail safe' message came up, I didn't even start the FF just turned off and started up again, message went.
I got to work the message came back when turned off....
In a little break I cleared all faults with good old iid and nothing since.
Now I have read up about the transfer switch (potentiometer) can give problems, but it does go in low and back in high range no problem ( did it about 6/7 times at home to test it)
Trouble is its idling at 900 rpm, Im I right in saying the car has to 'learn' my driving or is it because of low battery?
Its charging fine at 13.8 with heater, heated seats and lights on, main beam.
The only new fault codes I can see is in the
ip instrument pack - 1 0x8d trans interface busfault
2 0xbd ebv function fault recived from ecu
tcm transmission - 1 0x30 gear switch fault general faults.
Thanks guys If it dont work.......burn it!
If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.
If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!
If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!
