Hi all, my nearside headlight keeps going out after about 5 minutes of driving,it flickers first then goes out, but if you turn the lights off and then on it works again, any body got any ideas please as its doing my nut in .

could be the ballast but i would swop bulbs over first and see if it still happens.. ... - .- -.

Probably the bulb on its way out. As Stan (the man!) said, swap the bulbs over and that will confirm if it is the bulb that's dying. I had the same problem and it was the bulb, not the ballast (thankfully), that was going.

Just remember it's advised to replace both HID bulbs at the same time, you can always keep the good one as a spare.

Also, if you've got the 4800k bulbs (fitted as OEM on most Full Fats) it could be worthwhile getting the 6000k bulbs as they give a crisper white light compared to the yellowish tinge of the standard HID bulbs.
