Temperature display

Since I replaced the battery, the outside temperature display now reads fahrenheit instead of celsius. does anyone know how to set it back to celsius? My RR is a 2002 model with the standard radio (not satnav).
Thanks guys.

Or try ignition in position II; press and hold the trip reset button for 2 secs? Java with Ivory 2006 4.2 Supercharged. 23.5k miles - NOW SOLD!

right i did say watch this space and i have gone through rave and this is what it said

Ambient Temperature
The external ambient air temperature is measured by a sensor located behind the Land Rover badge on the front grill
and is connected directly to the instrument pack.
The ambient temperature sensor is an NTC sensor whose resistance falls as the ambient temperature increases. The
instrument pack outputs a reference current of 5.1V to the sensor. The instrument pack microprocessor evaluates the
returned signal and converts the information into a temperature value and displays the appropriate temperature in the
LCD. The temperature display can be adjusted by TestBook/T4 to be displayed in either Celsius or Fahrenheit,
dependent on market requirements.
The instrument pack continuously transmits the ambient temperature signals on the CAN for use by other systems,
when the ignition is on. When the ignition is off, the instrument pack transmits an ambient temperature message on
the I/K bus, once every 10 minutes, for a duration of 400ms.

hope this sorts the answer you must have reset it on the change of battery

That's a bit daft isn't it?
Some people in this country use C and some use F.

In most cars you just push a couple of buttons at the same time on the heater controls and it changes it over.

I might be wrong....but surely it IS a setting, because you can change the RANGE/LANGUAGE to KM's ... and I'm sure that when you do that, the temp goes to F (It has been a long time since I owned a 4.4 tho....)

Having read the handbook on GTR it seems odd that the function is not mentioned Yawn Land Rover Addict

I wonder if it works like the Disco II setting then?

Quote:

If your temperature reads in climate control reads in degrees Celsius “C” instead of Fahrenheit “F”, follow these steps to change to Fahrenheit.

* Turn the ignition on.
* With the climate control turned on, push and hold the recirculation button in. While holding the button in, push and hold the off button in for 3 seconds or until you hear a beep.

The display should then change to “F”. Follow these same steps to change your read-out to Celsius , if preferred.

Worth a try to see if there is some combo on the FFRR too Smile Land Rover Addict

Thanks Thrasher, I tried this but my model does not seem to have an off button for the climate control.

Ok try this, bearing in mind it is 6 years since I owned a TD6SE without fancy computers or satnav!) on the LH stalk on the steering column (the silvery tipped one with the "i" carved in it that changes stuff in the driver info screen in the dash), press it in and hold it so it scrolls through the functions to UNITS and IIRC you will find the miles per litre and temperature units change choice. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes
