So after having the rear brakes replaced I'm bedding them in. Long journey. Starting to get some vibration from the rear and pull in at the services. OSR wheel and disc are hot, did the water test on all wheels and sure enough its boiling. I suspect a sticking caliper.

My local Indy replaced mine and the pad and caliber they had just fitted when the car was in for attention. Initially they reckoned that it was retracting enough but it wasn't - I just let them get on with it. However I think they can be rebuilt/repaired. Geoff |

Sadly it's £142 for a new caliper on the 5.0 supercharged Discovery 4 HSE

I hate to say it Adam, and at the risk of provoking an argument... The calliper would have almost certainly been apparent on a test drive before/after fitting your new rear brakes!!! Why did your "money saving" people NOT pick it up? Would have certainly been picked up here or "i would hope" at most GOOD dealers/indie's...

I didn't think the 5.0 rears were TRW right enough. Companies doing exchanges/ refurbs on Brembo/ other 6 & 4 pot calipers:
