JE Engineering remap of the 2012 4.4 TDV8 remap experience ?

Hi,

Does anybody have experiance of the JE Engineering remap of the 2012 4.4 TDV8 remap ?
http://www.jeengineering.co.uk/je-performa...ver-models

Looks like it raises performance to
Range Rover 4.4 TDV8 2010-2012 : Power: 308 – 376 Bhp, Torque: 700-840 NM

Anybody hazard a guess on the 0-60 after that ?

Or does anybody have any alternative recommendations.

Thx

I have tried to gather info myself.

It seems they mainly focus on horse power rather than torque as the Gbox is rated for 700 Nm and the 4.4L already delivers... 700 Nm

Looking forward for some 1rst hand feedback indeed. l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

It's funny, the L405 TDV8 has had a power hike to 335bhp, but torque is also 700nm. The Porsche Cayenne V8 diesel with the same ZF 8 speed gearbox has 850nm. Don't know if the gearbox has had an upgrade for Porsche, but my guess is the TDV8 is due a factory power hike!

The Cayenne 8-speed is made by Aisin, but there are versions of the ZF 8HP with a higher torque capacity (see Rolls Royce, Bentley etc.).

I suspect the TDV8 is not long for this world.

It does look like the same TDV8 4.4 in the L405 is rated as 339 BHP as opposed to 308 BHP on the L322. Both of these are being taken up to 376 BHP with JE Eng remap.

Also the Torque is being upgraded from 700-840 NM with this remap. I know there have been various views on the gearbox ability to deal with this.

Anybody out there with real world experience of this on either the L322 or L405 ?

Has anyone done this yet? Or have we collectively decided its already fast enough and would be pointless and overstress the gearbox? Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I am in the more power is generally a good thing camp but rarely do I ever find myself short with 4.4 and the 8 speed box tbh, there are people who claim they can "chip" for better ecenomy with no loss of power which sounds interesting, but if I could (and I understand why a "chip" can't) I'd love to remove the occasional lag at the bottom end first.....

Hey ho let's start 5.0SC conversation again! 2016 (L405) Autobiography in Black with Ivory - for ULEZ
