Maybe it's not the answer you're looking for, but I didn't like the wheel moving in and out all the time, so I just turned it off using the IID tool. I can now adjust it whenever I want and it then stays put. If I change my mind, I can easily change it back. As far as I know, it still remembers it's user presets and will switch between them. |

Yes you are right for 2 reasons. 1, I would like it to work and 2, I don't have a IID tool. |

I had the same on my 2007 - tilt mech developed a mind of it's own, I don't think it was anything to do with the battery but it might have been. I also took the pragmatic step of turning off the easy entry/exit option using an IIDTool - mine was exacerbated by the fact that it was intermittent and try as I did I just couldn't get it to behave. The dealer should be able to turn it off - for a fee!

One thing I found was that the steering tilt mech seemed to count the number of rotations to full up and then count them back down into position. So you could avoid the leg crushing by making sure the motor didn't keep going when it rose - a quick dab on the stalk. Geoff |

Geoff thanks for the advise about turning it off however I would prefer if possible to fix it. I am sure someone must have had this issue before? |
