2004 TD6 - Just went to get into the car and the key fob I have been using since I bought it seems to be dead, no life at all - is this just a battery thing or possibly something else? I can use the spare key (thankfully I had it handy) but are there any gremlins waiting to pounce or is this a handy enough diy job? |

I only asked as I saw a thread that mentioned a rechargeable battery so was not sure if it was this type of fob or a more modern one - But discovered when I opened the key (its a CR2016 battery BTW in case anyone wants to know) that the battery was very very slightly out of place |

Is the CR2016 battery to "flat" for the battery holder? Is the CR2032 the preferred battery of choice?
