Changing the battery out and discovered this plastic drain hose (hose?) which was loose. Any idea where it's supposed to go? I've tried removing the battery tray but it appears to be secured by two plastic screws that won't move. Don't want to upset something there so would ideally want to tuck the hose away without taking half the car apart... unless I have to?

thats just the water down pipe for the wiper arm area, it should just put the water down to the ground under the vehicle

............from the plug you can see top right in your pic.... I'd move it off the battery tray when you put it back....

It's pretty obvious what it does I was more interested to see where it goes as in if it links to something below the battery tray which I cannot remove. That's fine, I've tucked it in behind the battery for now

The fuel burning heater sits under the battery tray on all diesels and on the petrols if that option was chosen. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Mine huffs and puffs in winter so I guess the original owner ticked that option.

Fuel burning heater is standard on Diesels.

The drain just pokes behind the battery tray, it dumps the water on the the back of the wheel arch liner where it runs off out the bottom. You'll get the idea if you have a look on the other side with a torch, there is just a big hole under the brake servo etc.

Thanks, that's what I did (looked at the other side) but the hose there is longer than this and appears connected/fastened at both ends. I'll leave it like that since it didn't cause any visible issues until now.
