Buzz was on the R4 Today programme this morning, so was alive and kicking a couple of hours ago.

Thought the same thing, not my cup of tea, for years. Than saw this model and started to think about "why." Than started to realize I was judgmental about the people you see driving it, bling is not always negative, these cars are very powerful and on the rise, are a comfy drive (compared to my other old cars) Better as money in the bank. There is no fun in looking at your bank account, but it's great fun walking into your garage and just have a peek if she is fast asleep

its red(ish) its convertable, its fast, and looks nice, it appeals to many people, drivers/non-drivers, it's easy to sell on. what's not to like. parts availability, (here) plus import taxes, (on parts) parhaps, the fibreglass body, (repared?) MPG, cries of, 'medallion man' whilst 'coffee shaking' a fist?

all part of owning unusual cars.

On Car SOS they recently brought one back to life and it got me thinking about having a project myself and my son is old enough to have an interest in it as well.
My only problem is not having the space at home  Regards

Bellini, the car I just signed for comes with a set of new flowmasters but as parts. The original ones are on the car and nearly new, so wonder if I should get them on????

Robert, no idea. Mine is sat with a Mustang specialist until I get back from the UAE. Should be ready next March.

What I will say is the old butchered exhaust sounded pretty good. I've a recording of it the day after bringing the thing home and it's nicely burbly in the way only old-school V8's can be. The Flowmaster, coupled with ceramic shorty headers, had better be worth the cost over that.

That said, I have heard a '68 GT350 from the same specialist with a full Flowmaster system and the noise was delicious! Not overly loud but 'just right'. I hope your Corvette will be similar. YouTube is handy in this regard. There's bound to be another LT1 Corvette with that system on YT somewhere.
