Is it not a bit strange getting this after it was parked for 9 hours? (Started up, into drive, AC on and bing)

I didn't notice anything driving it afterwards - and did more than usual evening run including motorway stretch - a couple of hours driving. Having said that, I did think something didn't feel quite right in the last couple of miles before parking up for the night yesterday. This morning, everything felt fine - I chalked it up to my imagination. |

Today the warning came on at starting up. For first 10 mins driving, gear shifts were clunky and then smoothed out. Haven't checked the rad yet, but suspect it might all be a simple as a fluid and filter change. |

If transmission oil cooler is clogged up, no amount of fluid and filter changes will make any difference. On a MY02 it is probably worth removing the cooler to see what is what. IIRC a new one is not all that expensive.... .

In the end, I didn't do the fluid change and cooler \ rad checks myself - time being the issue.

Personally I wouldn't go anywhere near these cheap places, having stripped mine down to see the awful work done on the box before these people are nothing but cowboys, they know what will last just outside the warranty, that's if they'd even repair it within the warranty period, they'd just come up with some feeble excuse and not pay...

I had a look at this, but with the new box, cooler and lines mine stays well within it's temp range even when off roading all day in low box up hills.... they did design it to tow a 3 ton trailer across the Sahara, even your blue tac box should be OK.....
