My heater in the back is always cold, the front
One is perfect. Any ideas?

You do know it has an adjuster for rear temp next to the outlet in the rear...

Got the same problem.. Front hot as hell, rear - ice cold.. Also i sounds like a jetplane when ypu crank the speed up... L322 Vogue 2003

Don't know about pre facelift cars but mime has a button bottom right of the centre console which enables / disables the rear heater controls. If you have the light on then the rear controls are active, otherwise they match one of the two front controls. Which one I don't know/can't remember...

I quite often have it switched to the rear if the dog is in the back to keep her cooler. Ed

We experience the same on our 07 ffrr - mostly cold air in the rear air vents, regardless of how I set the rear temperature adjustemt knob. If I turn on the rear AC with the "real AC knob" on the front panel, the rear air is a bit less cold, but far from as hot as it is at the front.

I think I've read somewhere that the interior in a ffrr is built around the AC system, and that it is designed to make the total experience as comfortable as possible. So maybe the rear air vents SHOULD blow colder air? Anyone that knows how this is designed to work?

Yes I think I know how to operate it but it's just cold air and it won't come warm.
I was thinking it could be some sort of solenoid or something but just guessing really.
Any more ideas?

IIRC its tied into the passnger heat setting as well so worth whacking that up and see if it makes a diff FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
Mantec Sump Guard, Rigid Load liner, MY10 BT upgrade.

not tried this myself but would the front center horizontal dial that controls the center/side vent temperature also control the overall heat to the rear center vents...

From the manual,

Note: The temperature set by the front occupants restricts the maximum level of warm air the rear passengers can select.

No mention of it being linked to a specific side in the front, or being linked with the face level vents in the front...

I know for a fact the floor vents in the rear are connected to the front heater and not controlled by the rear, so it would appear the rear centre vents maximum heat output is the setting that the front vents are at.. i.e. you can't have the rear vent hotter than the setting in the front...  Pete

That's interesting.
My rear heaters feel like the aircon is on full if I open the vents. I will take it to my local Independant and
let you know what they say.

Unfortunately not. Still cold for passengers in the back.
