Land Rover Original Car Seat covers

Was looking at a set of Land Rover Original car seat covers for my FFRR.... You could buy a whole Suite off DFS for that money ( and not pay a thing for two years !! ). What are they made of... the down from Siberian swans ?

thats a pretty smart idea, no common sense me.

Was just thinking how to keep the motor nice when your dressed in your dirty gardening or DIY clothes and doing a tip run. Got a nice big trailer to keep the inside of the motor from ever having crap in it.

I've got the parchment interior and as I use the vehicle everyday, its going to go down hill pretty rapid. All ready got a few marks from the original owners. Seen some seats that have been ' painted " with the leather restoration kits and wasn't all that impressed with the results so would rather cover mine for now

What about a pack of the plastic seat protection covers that garages use when your vehicle is in for service? John

The LR accessory covers are expensive, and the price has risen very substantially compared to the price of the cars. The set I bought in 2013 was about double the price of the set I bought in 2004. They are very good though, retaining all of the seat functions, including airbags, fit well and are quite hard wearing - my 2004 set had only a few very minor areas of seam damage after 9 plus years. I use the rears all the time and the fronts over the winter. They are made in the UK and are relatively complex, so will require skilled machinists, in shorter supply here now and so more expensive. I suspect the dealer price will include fitting, quite time consuming and maybe one could negotiate a lower price if fitting personally.

in the context of a relatively new RR I think they are a good investment, obviously harder to justify once values are lower and not all 322s take the same ones so there is a limit to transferability between cars. I would check about effect on airbag function before going for non-LR more 'universal' products. Only Range Rovers since 1988

I have both cheap versions from Halfords which I slip over the Corbeau leather seats in my Defender and fitted versions for the RR.

If you look on eBay there's a firm called INKA doing tailored seat covers for much less than the LR OE ones and they fit well. The front seat set I bought in black came with 3 sets of head rest covers for all model types including rear DVD with cut outs for the screens. I would recommend them, they fit nicely and look good.

Here's a set to get you going with the links
