I was beaten to a 2110 a while back, and that car was cheaper than allot of 09... and from a main dealer.

I think you are conning yourself if you think any RR will hold money long term better or worse than any other luxury car

buy it, use it, enjoy it, is my motto ...worrying about an extra grand or two here and there dosent make up for not actually having one to drive everyday as you see fit Smile cheers

I have stopped searching now anyway and will see what year I can afford after Christmas when all the extras are kitted out in the house.

Have to agree there, a 2010 spec still has the same TDV8 and gearbox as the pre-rooney front.
It will cost more now, but the gap will be less later after depreciation. So overall you'll lose more IMHO.
Just like the facelifted Td6. Closer in value to a pre-facelift Td6 than a TDV8 which looks similar.

I guess it's the same with most vehicles. The newer you buy, the more you lose in depreciation.

And we'll probably all get kicked in the proverbials depreciation wise when the new shape comes out in 2012 anyway.

Fox, I agree. Also would think greater depreciation on 2010MY as the 2011MY has new engine/gearbox so big change. This was a big reason why I held off for 3 months to get the latest model. I know that ultimately I will be a big loser in depreciation, but I love the car and enjoying it immensely. It's certainly not an investment and suffers badly like all luxury vehicles. It's an everyday car for me and as long as I feel I've got my moneys worth that's good enough for me...
