I had therse on my MY2010 needed a tyre changed due to puncture. The garage i took my car to used one of those "proper" trolley jacks and didnt need to remove the steps. Had no issues, 2011 5.0SC Santorini Black

I have changed tires on our 07 ffrr with retractanle side steps, no problem. Just lock the steps on the outer settings, use a hydraulic garage lift, will not conflict with the steps. |

I've used a merc sprinter bottle jack, much reported on this site, on the normal jacking points. There is a small area between the step and the wheel which allows up and down movement of the jack handle. Works ok. Small and easy to use jack with good lift. |

You can't use the supplied scissor jack in the boot on the factory jacking points.
