Aerosol carburettor cleaner. Works like a champ but don't get it on your skin as it removes all the oils and you go very white and powdery. |

just did mine, I used tooth brush with some diesel and finish with degreaser spray. 35-40 min job. |

Be careful, you can ruin a throttle body if you open the flap against the motor, IMHO it is a total waste of time on a petrol, yes it will have dirt on it but it's a drop in the ocean, the whole inlet tract has the same film of dirt on it and nobody bothers to clean the entire inlet manifold....

That's good enough for me..leave well alone and go through the list of other possibilities..firstly I have been using morrisons unleaded. Will use another source for her, changing battery at the weekend as its suspect then I will have a read up on everything else...don't really trust my icarsoft for data streams now as I'm certain its giving me dodgy readings so iid tools a priority first.thanks again Pete... |
