Am just about to subscribe for a session on Topix - can anyone confirm if the workshop manuals etc can be physically downloaded and kept or is the system a view only thing?

nope they can't, Just signed up for an day. you can print the pages you want though.

if you want to be anal and download the PDF's of each procedure that is possible. Certainly on a mac. If you select print then it will open a new web page with a PDF of the procedure, which can then be saved. To do the whole WM would take a while though.  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

dont even need to print it actually, when I place the mouse over the 'text' on the right, the standard PDF tool bar appears, where you can zoom in etc, but there is a 'save' icon too. Click and save straight to PDF ... - .- -.

just been reading the instructions for the pulleys at the front end, the belt is another "fitted for life" item to get it off involves removing the viscous fan, RAVE says you need to vac the AC and drain the coolant to do this as access is limited. IIRC that it can be done without. Sometimes the WM is a bit OTT and just gives the accepted procedure, there are always shortcuts and variations.

OP is there a specific procedure you want to know about I could have a look see if its worth down loading or wether its pretty self explanatory. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Is there any chance of doing everyone a favour and checking the correct procedure for changing the battery... there is conflicting information as to whether a reset is needed on like for like replacement  Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

According to The WM Step 3 of battery installation is to reset the Battery monitoring system using the diagnostics. The rest is just battery fitting standard stuff.  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Sweet! so the first battery change will be a wee bit more expensive as you'll need to add an IID Tool to the job as well  Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

The main reason for me accessing is to get the maintenance / servicing procedures but whilst I'm there I might as well download as much as I can.
