TV in motion

Hi All,

Seen the hack or module upgrade to enable TV in motion but..... Can't you just pull the handbrake up one click whilst in D..? (it seems to enable it for me) Not sure if technically the handbrake (diff brake) is enaged to some degree though.?

Any thoughts.

Thanks Ash

You can do that, but you will get a constant bonging warning you that the HB is up. Also what Diff Brake are you referring to? The handbrake works on the rear drums (inside the discs)

A better option is just to enable TV on the move in the software - easy and cheap.

Have they changed the design? I believe my p38 "hand brake" locks the centre diff not the wheels. Perhaps I was wrong all these years. !

Does that mean one could do handbrake turns in an L322?  Mr. Green Ash

The handbrake has never locked the Center Diff on any Land Rover/ Range Rover. On the P38 and Classic the HB used to operate a large Drum Brake on the output shaft to the rear off of the gearbox.

You could do HB turns in an L322 except it is 4wd so when the front wheels are turning the rear wheels are turning and likewise when the rear wheels are stationery the front wheels are stationery. This can be overcome by breaking your half shafts relatively easily though.

Black drum here:
