Normal behavior for the AMK air suspension compressor? | |
I've just got the original air suspension compressor replaced with the new AMK type. And the SW has been updated (thanks to Pete at BAS who informed me that the LR software for the AMK compressor was available via the IID BT tool, just needed to update the IID BT tool sw).
I've noticed that the compressor runs each time I start the car. The car is on the Normal ride height. Live values from the IID BT tool shows that the compressor runs ½-1 minute, building up pressure to the reservoir via the Gallery (I haven't found any way to get the actual live reservoir pressure), and then releases most of the pressure from the Gallery. The car does not rise or lower anything during startup.
The original compressor didn't behave like that. It did not run each morning, if I recall correctly. But the AMK certainly does – without lowering or rising the car.
The question is: Is that behavior of the AMK compressor normal? Or could there be a leakage in the pressure tank - or in the couplings in the compressor?
